Zach Harris is the the lead video editor here at True Productions. He graduated from Full Sail University in 2011 and has been working in video production since. Although editing is his strength, he also loves to shoot. He works in studios and on location for everything from commercials, live events, music videos, instructional videos and narratives.
The concept for his spec video was inspired by a Theremin. A Theremin is an electronic music instrument that measures the distance between an antennae and the players hand to control pitch. The Theremin this experiment/product video focuses on is for the Eurorack format, a type of modular electronic instrument where any connection is possible.
"I thought it would be interesting to use the Theremin not to capture a music performance, but to capture the movement of our hands while we do things we do in daily life. Because this Theremin is in a modular format, we can control not only pitch, but also tone, tempo or effects. Each of these vignettes pairs a different movement with a different aspect of the Theremin’s use as a controller. Hope you enjoy!"
