True Tools: LearnDash LMS

One of our favorite things to do on the blog is show off tools we love, like Canva, Trello, Sejda and WhyNoPadlock. In these quick posts, we highlight some of our favorite tools–so they can become your favorite tools too!

This week, I want to highlight LearnDash, a Learning Management System (LMS) plugin for WordPress. LearnDash makes it easy for anybody with a WordPress site to set up an e-learning platform of their very own. It uses the familiar WordPress interface to allow you to build structured, organized online courses, with Video Lectures, Quizzes, Tests, Assignments, customized Completion Certificates, and more. We’ve helped a number of clients set up customized courses on their existing site. The best part–LearnDash starts at only $159/year, and leverages other elements you likely already have running. Compared to thousands of dollars to build a custom course platform from scratch, or more expensive subscription-based tools, it’s an absolute bargain. And powerful, too!

With LearnDash + WooCommerce, you can sell access to your very own course content. Add in a CRM solution like Keap, and you can automate communications about the course–both to market it on the front-end and drip release the content once your students are enrolled. With a Membership tool like iMember360 or Memberium, you can control access to each individual element and take apply tags after individual lessons to unlock special content based on course completion or customize content with your student’s name and other details. You can easily apply your own branding, wrap the course content in your own site, incorporate discussion forums, sell courses as subscriptions, one-off classes, or bundled, and more. Knock on wood, we haven’t found something LearnDash can’t do for our clients.

If you’ve been thinking about trying out a pricey tool like Kajabi or customizing another LMS tool, let’s chat about what LearnDash could do for you. We’re here to help!
